So far we have created 3 wall art pieces in central Henderson, held 3 screen printing workshops and 1 typography workshop. In October the Art Frames will be placed on their sites and events based around these will be held. Our team in partnership with Kakano Youth Arts Collective along with Toi Ora photographers will also be producing 150 A0 posters, these will be produced in the Artrite Screen Print Studios in Onehunga. These “Humans of Hendo” posters will be pasted up on suitable walls within central Henderson.

With the support of Auckland Council and the Henderson Massey Local Board we are running a project to engage youth in Henderson through public artworks, creative events and workshops. We are are working in partnership with Mandy Patmore andthe Kakano Youth Arts Collective based in Corban Estate. The team for this is Paul Woodruffe, Bobby Hung and Johnson Witehira. The aim of this project is to reduce vandalism and graffiti crimes in Henderson through social engagement and connecting local youth to higher education. It also aims to create multiple locally driven and produced public artworks that explore a new methodologies in commissioned public artwork and assist the town centre in creating vibrancy in neglected and problematic sites.
